It has been 24 days past new year and I havent had time to sit down and write down my New Year Resolutionssssssssss!
okie.. let me recapped my new year resolutions for year 2008...
cant find the blog in this website.. was located in my old blog as follow...
http://fallingstarz.blog.friendster.com/
here goes...
1. to slim down o cos…. =P…
---> let me see... i think i didnt.. in fact, i think i gained 2kgs over the past 1 year.. shit...
2. to able to survive in kpmg..
---> okie... i did survived for 1 year....
3. find my mr right?
---> mmmmmmmm....... this is a very subjective thingy.. who is my mr right and what defines my mr right????
4. to tidy up my house… =P… haha… ridiculous that this gets to be my new year resolution… wun wan to know how messy my house is…
---> this is definitely not be met.. ..
5. save more money and spent less! save at least 400 a month? possible???
---> not met as well... spent more actually...
6. update more post??? went to read my older post… really enjoyed reading them… bring back my memories… =)
---> okie.. this is considered met... wrote quite a number of post actually..
and now my 2009 resolutions...
1. to slim down... haix.. this new year resolution just keep repeating itself year after year.. maybe i should be more specific...
a. to exercise (like jogged for 30 mins at least twice a week) maybe i should learn from ade (my senior in kpmg).. she used to cycle on the bicycle bike for 45 mins everyday.. amazed by her determination.. she's my idol man..
b. to cut down on my food intake. hah.. especially at night..
2. do not procrastinate.. I think what I'm best in is actually procrasinating... so those things that need to done must be done by that day and not the day after what..
3. finding my right... mmmmm...
I used to think that my parents are a perfect couple... and there's a saying that 属牛的和属鸡的 are very compatible. That's my dad and mum... haha.. so used to set that as one of my criteria and also... wanted to look for someone who is the same type of my horoscope...mmm.. someone from capricorn, virgo or taurus... so I would think that maybe my Mr Right is someone who is 属鸡的 and that is someone from capricorn, virgo or taurus. ha.. naive belif right?
Subsequently, I realised that's not neccessarily all these will make a relationship worked out...
My parents used to quarrel alot during the early stage. (that's what my mum told me) and it was subsequently through understanding and tolerating with each other that makes their love for each other so strong.
learning how to understand, tolerate and trust....
4. writing down the details of my everyday life... it is good to be able to be able to remember what happened in the past.

Beheaded or not.
The verdict for the melamine case is finally out.
I have been wondering will the wicked woman heading San Lu group be sentenced to death.
She has caused the death of about six children and more than 300,000 babies have fallen ill with utinary trat ailments, including kidney stones. The worse thing is she is well aware of what is her product causing since May and she only announced it in August, with no action to remove her products off the shelves in supermarkets.
Well... Despite all the wicked things she has done, she was not being sentenced to death. Life imprisonment was the verdict for her instead.
Now, I wonder what the judges in China deemed that will constitute a death sentence if the actions of concealing her tainted products which caused the death of babies and babies to have kidney stones doesnt result in one.

Melamine
Extracted from wikipedia
Melamine is described as being "Harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Chronic exposure may cause cancer or reproductive damage. Eye, skin and respiratory irritant.” However, the toxic dose is on a par with common table salt with an LD50 of more than 3 grams per kilogram of bodyweight.[12] FDA scientists explained that when melamine and cyanuric acid are absorbed into the bloodstream, they concentrate and interact in the urine-filled renal microtubules, then crystallize and form large numbers of round, yellow crystals, which in turn block and damage the renal cells that line the tubes, causing the kidneys to malfunction.[13]
The European Union set a standard for acceptable human consumption of melamine at 0.5 milligrams per kg of body mass, Canada declared a limit of 0.35 mg and the US FDA’s limit was put at 0.63 mg, but was later reduced to 0.063 mg daily. The World Health Organization’s food safety director estimated that the amount of melamine a person could stand per day without incurring a bigger health risk, the "tolerable daily intake" (TDI), was 0.2 mg per kg of body mass.[14]

Red Cliff II
went to catch red cliff II after a long and busy day on saturday...
the movie starts at 11.40pm and ended at 2am...
both of us concluded that the movie was alright.
maybe our opinion might have change if we catched the movie at a more normal timing like 2pm instead of 1140pm? esp when we were both exhuasted from work. but then, weekends are the only chance when we can meet up.
here's some comments for the movie..
felt that the first episode was better than the second one... in terms of plot..
but i must admit the effects created during the war on the sea and land were superb, esp the part when they are attacking the ships and when all the ships are on fire. and also the part when 诸葛亮
so i guess it will be better if you watch the two movies together and I am sure that you will conclude that that is a good show.
or maybe it will be better if you havent read the books... just felt that the story stray away from the original story too much
